The IBD-Control Questionnaire is a simple tool to measure disease control from the patient perspective.
It is freely-available to people living with Crohn’s disease and colitis, those delivering care for inflammatory bowel disease and researchers.
IBD-Control supports the collection of valid, reliable information about how patients feel and function. It consists of a small set of generic questions that were designed to be relevant to anyone living with IBD. The questions cover physical, social and psychological impacts of IBD, along with perceptions about current treatment.
It takes under two minutes to complete the full questionnaire and even less time for the short form (IBD-Control-8) . The scoring system is simple and the results are easy to interpret. Two independent, international multi-stakeholder groups have recommended the use of IBD-Control to support more patient-centred care.
